It is almost team for NASCAR to take over the Valley and here’s some information to help you plan for race week activities:

4 p.m.: Dale Earnhardt Foundation Celebrity Poker Tournament, Stratosphere; Kenny Wallace, Kirk Shelmerdine, Casey Mears, Matt Crafton, Regan Smith, Aric Almirola, Eric McClure, Todd Bodine, Mike Bliss, Scott Lagasse Jr., Andy Ponstein, Danny Efland, Tommy Baldwin and others; admission $20;

6 p.m.: NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide teams hauler parade; 18-wheelers transporting NASCAR race cars will parade down Las Vegas Boulevard from Russell Avenue north to Sahara Avenue.

8- 9 a.m.: Track Walk; walk the 1.5-mile track to raise money for the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities; $25-35 per adult; visit lvms.com for information and to register.
