Whitton, grandson win SNORE 250

PRIMM – Arizonan Ron Whitton and his grandson Chas Dana won Saturday’s overall title in the 40th annual South Point SNORE 250.

In an event which started about 90 cars just north of Buffalo Bill’s, the 70-mile course was typical of races presented by the Southern Nevada Off Road Enthusiasts.

Whitton and Dana completed the race in 4 hours, 59 minutes, 26 seconds driving in the Unlimited class.

“The only problem we had was when the bolts came out of the manifold,” said Whitton. “We had no flat tires.”

SNORE’s next event is the Rage on the River in Laughlin Dec. 12. Further information can be found at www.snoreracing.net.
