Palo Verde defeats Shadow Ridge in boys volleyball

Adam Nieman had 51 assists and Tyler Capko added 29 kills Wednesday as Palo Verde's boys volleyball team outlasted Shadow Ridge, 25-19, 20-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-10.

Matt Lish added 12 digs for the Panthers.

Jeremy Makaiwi had 30 assists for the Mustangs.

• Arbor View 3, Cheyenne 0 -- At Arbor View, Matt Ward had 22 assists to help the Aggies beat the Desert Shields, 25-12, 25-17, 25-16.

Kirby Manger added four blocks and two kills, and Landon Steele had five kills and four aces for Arbor View.

Brandon Jackson led Cheyenne with six kills and seven blocks.

• Cimarron-Memorial 3, Legacy 0 -- At Legacy, Scott Beckwith had five aces as the Spartans defeated the Longhorns, 25-12, 25-22, 25-12.

Steven Leavitt had 13 assists and Ethan Ewing added seven kills for Legacy.

• Basic 3, Foothill 0 -- At Basic, Anthony Gambone had 15 assists as the Wolves defeated the Falcons, 25-13, 25-18, 25-17.

Jensen Lavallee had 10 kills, and Jared Mackelprang added six kills and four blocks for Basic.

• Del Sol 3, Green Valley 1 -- At Green Valley, Bryan Grenier had 14 kills, 15 assists and seven aces to lead the Dragons past the Gators, 25-21, 25-23, 24-26, 25-22.

Heinz Saurez had nine kills and eight digs, and Garrick Burden added 11 digs for Del Sol.

Cameron Olsen and Chris Mortensen each had 15 kills, and Taylor Mitchell had 33 assists for Green Valley.

• Silverado 3, Liberty 0 -- At Silverado, Trevik Jenkins, Justin Close and R.J. Miranda combined for 12 aces as the Skyhawks defeated the Patriots, 25-12, 25-16, 25-11.

Jenkins added 12 kills and Close had eight assists for Silverado.

Paul Acluba had 12 assists and Jamie Acayan had six kills for Liberty.

• Bonanza 3, Las Vegas 1 -- At Bonanza, Dallin Hyer had 20 kills, eight blocks and 13 digs to lead the Bengals to a 20-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-21 win over the Wildcats.

Matt Andrews added 12 kills and five blocks, and Jesse Mackay had 48 assists and 14 digs for Bonanza.

Jonathan Dugan led Las Vegas with 14 kills and 21 digs.

• Centennial 3, Mojave 0 -- At Mojave, Spencer Olson had 11 kills and Jeff Mecham added 29 assists as the Bulldogs swept the Rattlers, 25-21, 25-12, 25-13.

Dillon Horner had 19 assists to lead Mojave.
