Palo Verde rallies past Cimarron-Memorial in boys volleyball

Adam Nieman had 59 assists Wednesday as Palo Verde's boys volleyball team rallied for a 25-23, 25-27, 22-25, 25-16, 15-7 win at Cimarron-Memorial.
Clayton Worthen added 18 kills for the Panthers, and Tyler Capko had 15 kills.
Dustin Larsen led Cimarron with nine kills, nine digs and three blocks. Scott Beckwith added 15 kills and five blocks, and Taylor Sorenson had 38 assists.
• Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 -- At Legacy, Ryan Nolan racked up 10 kills in the Mustangs' 25-12, 25-8, 25-6 win over the Longhorns.
Jake Shea had 12 assists for the Mustangs. Brady McAnally added eight blocks.
Ethan Ewing had six blocks and three digs for the Longhorns.
• Arbor View 3, Mojave 0 -- At Arbor View, Matt Ward had 24 assists, four blocks and two aces in the Aggies' 25-12, 25-20, 25-19 win over Mojave.
Zac Reese added 10 kills for Arbor View. Nathan Stewart had six kills.
Alex Montgomery led Mojave with seven kills. Tony Vaz added six kills and three aces.
• Centennial 3, Cheyenne 0 -- At Cheyenne, Jeff Mecham recorded 37 assists and had five digs and four aces in the Bulldogs' 25-8, 25-15, 25-15 victory over the Desert Shields.
Matt Kurtz and Taylor Deaver each added seven kills for the Bulldogs.
Brandon Jackson had 10 kills, eight blocks and five digs to lead Cheyenne. Jeff Lytle added eight kills, seven blocks and six digs.
• Coronado 3, Liberty 0 -- At Coronado, Kevin Foutz had eight assists and six aces to lift the Cougars to a 25-12, 25-19, 25-9 win over the Patriots.
Jace Stoker added five kills and five aces for Coronado. David Hyer had five digs and two aces.
• Green Valley 3, Foothill 0 -- At Foothill, Cameron Olsen had 12 kills and seven aces to lead the Gators past the Falcons, 25-19, 25-13, 25-17.
Chris Mortenson had seven kills and four aces for the Gators. Taylor Mitchell added 22 assists and two kills.
• Del Sol 3, Tech 1-- At Del Sol, Bryan Grenier had seven kills, 14 assists and three digs as the Dragons beat the Roadrunners, 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.
Dale Gunter added 10 assists and five aces for Del Sol.
Antonio Garcia led Tech with five kills and three blocks.
• Basic 3, Silverado 2 -- At Basic, Daniel Bowman had 15 kills and five blocks to help the Wolves outlast Silverado, 24-26, 25-20, 18-25, 25-20, 15-13.
Michael Lunan added 22 assists for Basic, and Jensen Lavallee had 11 kills.
Trevik Jenkins led Silverado with 18 kills and 13 digs. Brayden Olenslager added 10 kills for the Skyhawks.
