Rebels get football commitments from three players

With signing day a week away, UNLV’s football team picked up three commitments this week.
The two most recent are offensive lineman Gavin Peterson of Seven Lakes High School in Katy, Texas, and defensive lineman Billy Tanuvasa of Santa Ana (Calif.) College.
Tanuvasa (6 feet 2 inches, 285 pounds) also visited New Mexico, but he said his recruiting trip to UNLV had “a very homey feel.”
“They lost a lot of inside players, so I will try to play immediately,” Tanuvasa said.
Peterson (6-5, 275) also visited Northwestern State.
Earlier in the week, Silverado High tight end Austin Hunt (6-6, 225) committed to the Rebels.
The commitments are not binding until the players sign letters of intent Wednesday.
