San Francisco surges in second half, deals Lady Rebels fourth straight loss

Claudia Price grabbed a rebound of a missed free throw and scored with 21 seconds remaining to lift San Francisco to a 62-61 home win over the UNLV women’s basketball team on Friday night.
UNLV got off two shots in the final 10 seconds but didn’t get one in to win the game. Danielle Miller missed a jumper, and Aley Rohde couldn’t convert the putback.
Alana Cesarz had 19 points to lead UNLV (2-6), which lost its fourth straight. Rohde had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Miller had 11 points but was 3 of 14 from the field and missed all four of her 3-point attempts. The Lady Rebels made 3 of 16 3-point attempts.
Zhane Dikes had 17 points for San Francisco (3-4). Price had 14 points and eight rebounds.
The Lady Rebels led by 16 points in the first half and 33-23 at halftime. UNLV had a 52-41 advantage with eight minutes left before a 10-0 San Francisco run.
UNLV guard Mia Bell missed the game with a sprained ankle.
UNLV next will play Dec. 14 at Loyola Marymount.
