Seahawks fan wants Panthers QB banned from Seattle stadium next season

Seattle, WA — A Seattle man has started an online petition to ban Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton from Century Link Field in the 2016-2017 NFL season.

The Panthers defeated the Seahawks 27-23 in October and 31-24 in the NFL Divisional Round on Jan. 17.

The Change.org petition states "Cam Newton is one of the most unprofessional, unsportsmanlike individual on the face of the planet."

The author said Newton should be banned from entering the Seattle stadium in 2016.

"This should teach him to put his arrogance in check," the author wrote.

The petition included the following letter to the Seahawks.

Ban Cam Newton From Century link field. He is one of the most unsportsmanlike quarterbacks in the NFL and deserves to be banned from Century Link Field. He dislikes Washington as a whole anyways, so why not move to make this possible.

625 people had signed the petition as of Tuesday morning.

The Charlotte-based Carolina Panthers will next head to San Francisco, where they will face the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.
