Triana’s two-run, fifth-inning triple rallies Centennial past Sierra Vista, 5-3

Matt Triana's two-run triple in the bottom of the fifth inning Saturday scored the tying and go-ahead runs as Centennial's baseball team rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Sierra Vista, 5-3.
Sam Friend led off the inning with a home run. After a hit-batsman, a double by Jim Nelson put two runners in scoring position and set the table for Triana.
Trevor Goff was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI for the Bulldogs.
• Las Vegas 14, Liberty 1 -- At Liberty, Tate Chauncey was 3-for-3 with three runs as the Wildcats rolled to a five-inning win.
Bryce Harper added two hits and three RBIs.
Jordan Gonzales allowed an unearned run on two hits while striking out nine to get the win.
• Eldorado 5, Foothill 4 -- At Eldorado, Eric Larsen's one-out sacrifice fly scored Chris Brown with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
Manny Estrada was 2-for-3 and Zach Cook drove in two runs for Eldorado.
Winning pitcher Cory Keplinger struck out 12 and allowed three earned runs.
SOFTBALL
• Sierra Vista 18, Liberty 8 -- At Liberty, the Lions had four hits and benefited from seven Patriots errors in a 14-run third inning.
Desiree Laswell was 3-for-5 with a double and four runs for Sierra Vista.
Liberty's Robin Lowery was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs.
