Two pivotal errors cost 51s in loss to Colorado Springs

Two crucial errors by the 51s allowed Colorado Springs to score three unearned runs Friday night in the Sky Sox's 5-4 Pacific Coast League win in Colorado Springs, Colo.
A throwing error by catcher Raul Chavez on a sacrifice attempt keyed Colorado Springs' three-run first inning.
Shortstop Joe Inglett's two-out throwing error on Edwin Bellorin's infield single in the sixth allowed Kenny Perez to score, giving the Sky Sox (2-0) a 5-3 lead.
Brett Harper's solo home run in the eighth for Las Vegas (0-2) capped the scoring.
Inglett had two RBI singles for the 51s, in the second and fourth innings, and finished 3-for-5. He led off the game with a single and scored on Randy Ruiz's one-out single.
Jason Lane, who went 2-for-4, was the only other Las Vegas player with multiple hits. Buck Coats was 1-for-2, walked twice and scored twice for the 51s, who were outhit 10-9.
Mike McCoy paced Colorado Springs' offense by going 3-for-3 with two doubles and scoring twice. Christian Colonel was 2-for-4 with a double and a two-out RBI single in the first inning for the Sky Sox.
Scott Munter (1-0) earned the win in relief of starter Josh Fogg by pitching 2 2/3 hitless innings. Steven Register worked a perfect ninth for a save.
Bryan Bullington (0-1) took the loss in relief of starter Dirk Hayhurst, who gave up three runs -- one earned -- on four hits in two innings. Bullington gave up two runs -- one earned -- in four innings.
