RECRUITING BLOG: Final weekend will see small group of prospects

Typical of the final weekend of the football recruiting season, UNLV will bring in a small group. Four high school players will visit, including two locals and one who has committed to the Rebels.

They also have, according to Rivals.com, picked up a commitment from cornerback Tajh Hasson (6 feet 1 inch, 180 pounds) of Cathedral High School in Los Angeles. Rivals rates Hasson as a two-star prospect. An attempt to reach Hasson was unsuccessful.

Here are those visiting this weekend:

Linebacker Kyle Anderson (6-2, 230), Silverado. Rivals and Scout.com two-star prospect. Scout also ranks him No. 92 nationally at his position. Scholarship offers from Northern Arizona and Weber State.

Quarterback Taylor Barnhill (6-3, 210), Northwest (Justin, Texas). Rivals three-star prospect. Committed to UNLV.

LB Perry Cooper (6-3, 220), The Woodlands (Texas). Rivals two-star prospect. Offer from Buffalo.

Offensive lineman Tyler Gaston (6-3, 250), Rancho. Rivals two-star prospect.
