RECRUITING BLOG: UNLV football picks up second commitment in one day
UNLV's football team gained two commitments today, including one from Rancho High School offensive lineman Tyler Gaston (6 feet 3 inches, 250 pounds), a Rivals.com two-star prospect.
“There was a lot put into the decision between there and Washington,” Gaston said. “My family was a big part of it. I did what was best for me.”
The other commitment came from Scout.com two-star offensive lineman Alex Novosel (6-7, 265). Novosel, from Chatfield High in Littleton, Colo., visited Colorado over the weekend and had scholarship offers from some Football Championship Subdivision schools. He said the offer from UNLV “definitely surprised me.”
Another pick-up could occur Wednesday. Tight end Evan Hudson (6-6, 235), a Rivals three-star recruit from Bothell (Wash.) High, also is considering Air Force, and visited the Falcons last weekend.
Wednesday is signing day. Coach Bobby Hauck will announce his first UNLV signing class at 4 p.m.
