Lady Rebels rally, but fall to Wyoming

LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL

UNLV's women's basketball team rallied from a 13-point deficit in the second half, but the Wyoming Cowgirls scored 10 of the final 14 points Saturday to beat the Lady Rebels 78-73 in a Mountain West Conference game in Laramie, Wyo.

The Lady Rebels (13-17, 6-10 MWC) used a 19-2 run to take a 67-63 lead with 4:47 to play.

But Wyoming (18-10, 9-7), which will meet UNLV in the first round of the conference tournament Tuesday, stormed back to gain a season split of their two games.

UNLV's Jessica Helms tied her career high of 23 points, set against Wyoming on Jan. 17.
