Indiana was still a runaway No. 1 in The Associated Press college basketball poll, and Louisville was again a solid second. Then came the changes, with Kentucky dropping five spots to eighth.
The Hoosiers (3-0) received 46 first-place votes Monday from the 65-member national media panel. The Cardinals (5-0) got the other 19 No. 1 votes.
Ohio State and Michigan both moved up one place to third and fourth, while Duke, which beat Kentucky, jumped from ninth to fifth.
UNLV remained No. 18 going into Friday night's matchup against Oregon at the Thomas & Mack Center. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
Oklahoma State, at No. 20, and Colorado, at 23, were the week's newcomers, replacing Notre Dame and Wisconsin. The Cowboys (4-0) were last ranked during the 2006-07 season. Colorado (4-0) was last in the Top 25 when the Buffaloes were ranked for the final eight polls of 1996-97.
