The UNLV football team announced Thursday the signing of four junior college transfers who will enroll in January and go through spring practice with the Rebels: offensive lineman C.J. Backlund (Chabot College), wide receiver Jack Killian (San Joaquin Delta College), defensive lineman Asten Koki (Mt. San Antonio College) and defensive lineman Sieua Vaesau (Diablo Valley College).
UNLV athletic director Jim Livengood acknowledged speaking with Big East Conference ADs about possibly joining the league in football but said “there’s nothing more than that.”
