Wranglers can’t slow Colorado in ECHL loss
The Wranglers gave up five straight goals Wednesday night before finally getting on track, far too late to avoid a 5-3 ECHL loss to the Colorado Eagles in Loveland, Colo.
Colorado (12-10-3) led 2-0 after two periods, then slammed in three more goals in the first 11 minutes of the third to put the game away. The Eagles scored three short-handed goals - all by Chad Costello - and one on the power play.
Las Vegas (8-11-4) broke through with 7:32 remaining on Scott Campbell's goal. Eric Lampe and Sean Wiles added goals in the final 2:30.
