Wranglers rally behind Nehring, but fall to Grizzlies in shootout

Chad Nehring scored two goals for the Wranglers, who erased a 3-1 deficit to force overtime before suffering a 4-3 shootout loss to the Utah Grizzlies on Friday night before 5,572 at the Orleans Arena.
Carlo Finucci tied the shootout 2-2 for Las Vegas in the fifth round before Utah’s Phil Mangan beat Travis Fullerton for the winning goal. Mangan also had a goal and an assist in regulation for the Grizzlies (21-17-7, 49 points).
Nehring tied it 1-1 in the first period and 3-3 at 2:33 of the third for the Wranglers (11-27-5, 27), who lost their fourth straight while falling to 4-15-2 at home.
John Armstrong scored a power-play goal to make it 3-2 with 36 seconds left in the second and Anthony Perdicaro added two assists.
