Ben rejoined the RJ photo staff in August 2025 after being the director of visual journalism at the Houston Chronicle for 18 months. Before moving to Houston, he was the RJ’s director of photography for 18 months after serving as an RJ staff photographer for more than 6 years. Ben has delivering award-winning images that cover the entire spectrum of visuals: breaking news, portraits, sports and features. He was named Nevada’s Outstanding Visual Journalist in 2021.
