Acura consultant targets family sales

When Las Vegas businessman Barry Stull is in the market to purchase a new or used vehicle, he hits the speed dial button on his cell phone and calls Acura of Las Vegas senior sales consultant Louie Doblado.

"I met Barry back in 1990," said Doblado, who has been in the car business for 24 years and sold Stull a vehicle during his rookie year with Acura. "He was a referral and we just hit it off from there. We're fellow Los Angeles Lakers fans and became great friends."

The first car Stull purchased from Doblado was a 1990 Acura Legend.

Since that first day, the Stull family has purchased about 20 vehicles from Doblado, a 1979 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School who has lived in Vegas since 1969.

Members of the Stull family who have purchased from Doblado include Stull's wife, Rosann; son, Ryan Stull; and daughters Shanon Hymas and Lindsey Stull.

"We just get along very well, and we're friends first," said Stull, a 24-year resident of Las Vegas. "I call him. I don't even show up. I tell him want I want and to call me when he finds the car. All I do is tell Louie to get me the best deal possible, and I'm in and out of the store in 15 minutes."

Stull has referred several others to Doblado.

"My oldest daughter, Shanon, is looking at an MDX, which is a sport utility," added Stull. "Also, there is a big possibility that Shanon will also get a MDX in the future. Also, Lindsey is journalism student at UNR and will be graduating in December, so she'll take advantage of the Acura college graduate program.

"Acura is a good product. It is consistent and I don't have any worries when I drive it."

Lindsey now has a MDX SUV and will likely be getting a ZDX crossover vehicle in the future.

Indeed, Doblado has a great relationship with his customers.

"I actually have several customers who have been with me for two decades," says Doblado. "I'm very dedicated to the car business and if it takes 24 hours a day, I'll get the job. There is no limit to the time I'll put into the car business."

Doblado is very loyal to the Acura brand.

"I truly believe these are some of the best manufactured automobiles in the world," said Doblado. "From front to back, these are incredible vehicles and among the safest and most technologically advanced cars in the world. When I sell an Acura, I never worry about my customers. My wife and I have not driven anything but Acuras for more than 20 years."

Headed by General Manager Tim Donnelly, Acura of Las Vegas is situated at 7000 W. Sahara Ave.
