Aliante gets early start on Halloween

Aliante will host a free Halloween Parade and Harvest Festival Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held in the North Las Vegas master-planned community's 20-acre Nature Discovery Park, located at 2627 Nature Park Drive, near the southeast corner of Aliante Parkway and Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway.

Adults and kids are invited to show off their costumes in a Halloween Parade emceed by D.J. Tony. There will also be pumpkin decorating and art classes for the kids (while supplies last), as well as face painting and trick-or-treat bag decorating.

Dan Naef, senior vice president of North Valley Enterprises, the developer of Aliante, said the Halloween Parade and Harvest Fest will offer lots of fun for people of all generations.

"We're inviting the Southern Nevada community to come out and enjoy this wonderful seasonal event," he said. "Along with providing fun and entertainment for the entire family, it will also give prospective home buyers a chance to experience, first-hand, the great sense of community that exists here."

To reach Nature Discovery Park, take U.S. Highway 95 to the I-215 Exit East. Head east on I-215, exit at Aliante Parkway and proceed south. For more information, call 866-787-2951 or visit aliantehomes.com.

Another upcoming event at Aliante is the Winter Holiday Festival to be held Dec. 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Aliante Information Gallery and Nature Discovery Park.

Visitors can enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride from the Information Gallery to the holiday-decorated event tent in Nature Discovery Park. Along the way, carriage riders can enjoy the Aliante festival of holiday lights. Upon reaching the tent, guests will be treated to holiday carolers, hot chocolate and hot apple cider, cookie decorating and a chocolate fountain filled with sweet treats.

Aliante encompasses more than 1,900 acres in North Las Vegas, one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. Home builders include Astoria, Del Webb, D.R. Horton, KB, Lennar, Pardee and Pulte.

Homes throughout Aliante are priced from the mid-200,000s to the low $500,000s.

Del Webb is the builder of Sun City Aliante, an age-qualified community offering single-story homes that range from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet, priced from the mid-200,000s.

To visit Aliante, take U.S. Highway 95 to I-215 and exit east. Make a right onto Sky Pointe Drive, a right onto Frontage Road, and then a left onto the Beltway. Head east to the Aliante Parkway exit, then go south.
