American West leads homebuilders in closings for July

American West Homes is celebrating being No. 1 in new-home closings in Las Vegas for July. According to SalesTraq’s July 2013 New Home Closings Monthly Report, American West closed 78 homes throughout its eight communities in Las Vegas, making it the top builder throughout the valley for new-home closings. The report also showed that American West is No. 1 in highest value with a price of $323,348 per house.

Closing on a home is when a family moves into its newly constructed home and is the final step in completing a real estate transaction.

Based on additional information from SalesTraq, American West is the lowest price per square foot with an average of $100 per square foot. Other builders in Las Vegas average as high as $130 per square foot.

The value that is built into each American West new home is one of the reasons it has been No. 2 in the number of new-home sales contracts since the beginning of the year, just behind market leader DR Horton, Canarelli said. “We build the largest homes in Las Vegas and show the highest value per home in the valley.”
