AROUND TOWN: It’s already time to start thinking about Santa

Halloween isn't even here yet, but it's time to start thinking of Santa.

Advanced tickets for the annual Santa Train event at the Nevada State Railroad Museum, 600 Yucca St., in Boulder City are on sale through Dec. 4. The train will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 and 6, and 12 and 13. The Santa Train is a half-hour ride down the historic tracks of the Boulder Branch Line aboard the Nevada Southern Railroad, plus a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The event features a toy train exhibit, food and cocoa for sale, Santa’s North Pole Mailbox, Santa’s Sleigh for a great spot to take pictures, plus candy canes for all the children. Tickets are $2 per seat, payable by cash or check only and can be purchased in advance from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at the museum office.
