Bad Vegas lawyers, Obama Irish rock song and, yes, Hillary really said this

As we head into the long weekend, here's a few blog items to tide all you news junkies over...
1. Lawyers a-twitter -- Every year the Las Vegas Review-Journal publishes its judicial review and the results are always interesting. Most startling, I thought, was after all that former District Court Judge Elizabeth Halverson has been through, she still got 8% of the lawyers saying she should be retained. We need to get the names of those lawyers pronto and double check their bar exams.
2. Craziest to the MAXine -- California Rep. Maxine Waters, I believe I can say without fear of contradiction, is an embarrassment even to California liberals. In the this video, see her threaten to nationalize oil companies. Can you spell W-I-N-G-N-U-T? Give it a look here: "video-maxine-waters-threatens-to-nationalize-americas-oil-industry"
3. Irish Obama -- Leave it to the Irish to jump on Barack Obama's claim to Irish ancestry. The Irish World newspaper reports that the rock band Hardy Drew and the Nancy Boys have come up with a rock ditty that says Obama is as "Irish as bacon and cabbage and stew. He's Hawaiian, He's Kenyan, American, too. If he succeeds, and he has a chance, I'm sure our Barack will do Riverdance." You can watch the video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eKZryEAzUg
4. Hillary really said this? -- A fellow journalist who watches the wires closer than I, sent this story with the tag line: "Can Hillary stoop any lower?" I think most of the folks who read this blog know what I think. Here's the story ... you tell me:
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) _ Sen. Hillary Clinton referred Friday to the assassination of Robert Kennedy in the 1968 Democratic campaign as a reason she should continue to campaign despite increasingly long odds.
Clinton was responding to a question from the Sioux Falls Argus Leader editorial board about calls for her to drop out of the race.
"My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it," she said, dismissing the idea of dropping out.
