Boy lies about being kidnapped to get out of dentist appointment

A lot of people hate the dentist, but you likely wouldn’t go to the lengths a 12-year-old boy in France did just to get out of an appointment — telling police you were kidnapped.

And he only admitted to making up the kidnapping story after police had investigated the incident for a month, according to The Local.

Police were patrolling an area on May 21 when they found the boy hiding. He told police he had been abducted from a nearby town when he was on his way to a dentist appointment. He also told police he was able to escape the man’s car when it came to a stop.

But it was all fake.

After a month of investigating, police questioned the boy further after realizing that surveillance footage didn’t show any of the activity the boy suggested. The boy admitted he lied about the kidnapping to avoid going to the dentist.
