California linebacker commits to UNLV football

Linebacker Trent Langham of Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, Calif., committed to UNLV's football team today.

"They have a great program coming up," he said. "They're very good on education, and they will keep on you with grades and help with college."

Langham (6 feet 3 inches, 205 pounds) said he also had scholarship offers from UC Davis and Cal Poly.

He also is a sprinter on his track team, turning in personal bests last season of 10.67 seconds in the 100 meters and 21.82 in the 200.
