REPTILE EXPO SET THIS WEEKEND
AT SANTA FE STATION

The annual Las Vegas Reptile Expo is planned for this weekend at Santa Fe Station, 4949 N. Rancho Drive.

Vendors and reptile experts are scheduled to be on hand between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Adult admission is $8, kids younger than 12 pay $5 and tots under 2 are free.

VIP passes are $25 and allow the purchaser access into the show during setup Friday and entry into the show an hour early Saturday and Sunday.

Animals are not to be brought into the show by the public. Expo attendees are encouraged to leave the property promptly after purchasing any live animals.

PUMPKIN SMASH PLANNED SATURDAY
AT CLARK COUNTY SHOOTING RANGE

The second annual Pumpkin Smash at the Clark County Shooting Range is planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the archery range, 11357 N. Decatur Blvd.

The "fun shoot" plans to consist of an archery shoot at paper pumpkin targets and real pumpkins that ooze green. The shoot also will feature vendors, games and prizes.

The entry fee is $10. The Shooting Range will provide paper targets, pumpkins, archery equipment and archery instruction.

TWILIGHT HIKE IN SPRING MOUNTAINS
TO HIGHLIGHT NIGHT CREATURES

Explore the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area at dusk with a naturalist during a twilight hike planned for 5:30 p.m. Saturday on Mount Charleston.

The free hikes are open to the public and appropriate for the whole family.

The twilight hike explores how nocturnal animals thrive.

The group will meet at McWilliams Campground.

BUSES OFFER DOOR-TO-DOOR
SERVICE FOR SENIORS

Seniors living in Centennial Hills can let the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada do the driving for them when traveling within the Centennial Hills service area, two days a week.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, door-to-door senior transportation service is available to anywhere within the service area.

For 50 cents a ride, the commission's Centennial Hills Flexible Demand Response senior transportation service will take residents to any destination within the Flexible Demand Response service area, two days each week.

Call 228-7433 to register and schedule rides. Rides should be scheduled up to three days in advance of traveling.

HAUNTED POTLUCK PLANNED
AT ACTIVE ADULT CENTER

Members of the Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, 6601 N. Buffalo Drive, can act like boys and ghouls during a free Halloween potluck planned for 11:30 a.m. Oct. 31 at the center.

COUNCILMAN ROSS TO ATTEND
MYSTIC CANYON HOA MEETING

The Mystic Canyon Homeowners Association plans to host Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Ross, Ward 6, during a question and comment session planned at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at Aliante Library, 2400 Deer Springs Drive.

Clark County building department Town Hall meeting set

The Clark County Building Department has scheduled a town hall meeting from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Clark County Building Department presentation room, 4701 W.
