Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram and Chapman Value Center have long supported Southern Nevada’s Hispanic community. Chapman Value Center saleswoman Josefina Soto personifies Chapman’s dedication.
Every Saturday, Soto is at the Chapman-branded booth in the Broadacres Marketplace. This swap meet-style shopping center is family-oriented, full of entertainment and great deals — a natural fit for Chapman.
Soto, who was born in Durango, Mexico, takes great pride in educating her community and talking to them about the benefits of buying with Chapman and the incentives the dealership offers.
“I am 100 percent Mexican and take great pride in my heritage,” Soto said. “I’m very thankful for what I get to do to inform and educate the growing Hispanic community in our city on how to buy a vehicle. So many are unaware of the offerings we bring to them, so it’s my job to deliver that message.”
Soto has staffed the Chapman booth at Broadacres for nearly three years, rain or shine.
“At Chapman, we really go above and beyond for the Hispanic community,” Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram General Manager Don Hamrick said. “Josie has been a fantastic liaison and we’ve instilled several efforts to give back to the Latino community, specifically through a scholarship program for Hispanic high school graduates.”
As a family-owned and operated company, Chapman lives by the “mi casa es su casa” philosophy.
The dealership that has its own bank, which helps customers re-establish or establish credit. The dealership runs television and radio advertisements in Spanish and has periodic radio remotes with Hispanic stations.
“Coming here is like coming to see family,” Soto said.
“We’ve built a loyal following and I have family members who bring back friends and other family members. I know that we’re helping them and it makes my time and efforts worthwhile.”
