Child with cancer raises $150k for charity with lemonade stand
Yahoo Shine has the story of a 10-year-old boy battling an inoperable brain tumor who has raised $150,000 for charity.
Mario Carpino got involved with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Charity to keep his spirits up after his diagnosis, and he’s raised $150,000 since 2011 with a combination of lemonade stand sales and online donations.
Now the Carpino family is reaching out to Bon Jovi, Mario’s favorite singer, to see if the the celebrity will visit Mario at his lemonade stand event being held June 7.
