Church adds Healthy Habits Walking Trail

The Southern Nevada Health District and the First African Methodist Episcopal Church have collaborated on the Healthy Habits Walking Trail, a route around the perimeter of the church’s property to encourage physical activity. The path is open to all First African Methodist Episcopal Church members and residents in the surrounding community. The path is part of the Body & Soul program, an obesity prevention program that has since expanded to eight churches that serve the African-American community. Body & Soul is a program that is made possible by the Communities Putting Prevention to Work grants from the CDC.
First African Methodist Episcopal Church is at 2450 Revere St. in North Las Vegas.
