Classic American car collection is a blast from the past

Jim Roger's Sunbelt Auto Collection will be available for tour Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. through the Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas' annual fundraiser event.

Rogers' classic collection, which is usually closed to the public, features more than 200 beautifully restored American classics, including Cadillacs, Chryslers, Dodges, Lincolns, Fords, Chevrolets and Buicks. The 40,000-square-foot facility features the world's largest collection of American-made convertible cars from 1953, as well as select foreign sports cars, large vintage movie posters and several Model T's and classic Corvettes.

Tickets cost $20 and are limited to 100. Call 524-5014 or 429-1624. Directions will be given with ticket purchase.
