Couple purchases two Planet Hyundai Centennial vehicles
Phil and Annabel Elliott recently purchased two vehicles in one week from Planet Hyundai Centennial, and it's unlikely the dealership will find a more energetic and happy couple.
The Elliotts bought a 2012 Tucson SUV and then scurried back to the dealership a few days later to complement their possessions with a 2012 Elantra. They visited five dealerships before ending up at Planet Hyundai Centennial.
"I had won a $10,196 jackpot at the Santa Fe May 2, and we kept the money in the bank just in case we needed it," said Annabel Elliott. "Then, I went back and won another $1,632.50 twice in one week on the same machine with the same numbers playing keno.
"On June 2 at 3 in the afternoon, someone made an illegal U-turn and pulled right in front of me totaling our old car. At that point, we knew that we needed two new cars, and off to Planet Hyundai we went."
The Elliotts met with Planet Hyundai Centennial sales consultant Craig Price, who ushered the couple into the dealership. The couple said there was no pressure on either of the purchases.
Annabel Elliott said, "We were not attacked by salesmen when we walked up to the dealership.
"He (Price) treated us like relatives. We're now like his long-lost cousins. In fact, we're going to take him and his lovely bride out to dinner sometime."
The Elliotts plan on taking a long trip in their Tucson up Highway 1 to Monterey, Calif. They're also planning another trip with the Tucson to Branson, Mo., to see some shows.
Both vehicles have four-cylinder power plants that impress Phil Elliott.
"I like the Elantra because of the gas mileage along with the new-design lines," he said. "I also love the interior, and the engine provides enough power to get out of peoples' way when necessary.
"The Tucson has a 2.4 liter engine, and we wanted the extra room for cross-country trips. On a long trip, the engine in the Tucson will get us up the steep hills that we'll see on the way. Whether it's Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Oregon or Maine, I never worry about the Tucson or the Elantra making the grade for sure."
The Elliotts are also impressed with the fuel mileage of the Tucson and the Elantra.
"I'm constantly on the go because I play tennis every day, go to the movies and have lunch with friends," Annabel Elliott said. "That said, I really test vehicles very well and both of these cars are excellent."
Located at 6200 Centennial Center Blvd. in the northwest valley, Planet Hyundai Centennial is near Ann Road and Highway 95.
"The Elliotts are great examples of how much fun we have with our customers," said Skip Shakely, general manager. "They love life and they love their Hyundais."
The dealership offers customers five acres of vehicles and facilities with a 39,000-square-foot sales and service building.
