Couple purchases vacation home at Tremezzo

After years of vacationing in Las Vegas, Ann and Tom DiMarco from Columbus, Ohio, decided to buy their own vacation home in the new Pardee Homes neighborhood of Tremezzo, a collection of Italian-inspired hilltop homes overlooking the Lake Las Vegas resort community.

"We're not big gamblers, so we spend time driving around the area," Ann DiMarco said. "On our way to Valley of Fire 10 years ago, we spied Lake Las Vegas, looking tranquil and green, and started checking on its progress every year."

Last May, the DiMarcos had breakfast at their favorite spot -- Loews at Lake Las Vegas -- and then went up the hill to find Tremezzo.

"We just fell in love with the models, especially Residence One, and wanted to buy it just as it was," she said. "It had everything we were looking for, including a courtyard and three bedrooms all on one floor. And, of course, the views were beautiful."

Not wanting to wait for the model to be offered for sale, the DiMarcos worked with Pardee sales executives to find the same plan on the terrace above the model complex, complete with sweeping views of Lake Las Vegas and even parts of Henderson to the west.

The DiMarco family spent Christmas in their new home with their three children and one grandchild. Family members, who hail from New York City and Chicago as well as Ohio, are also welcome to use the Tremezzo home for vacations, as long as they check with her, according to Ann DiMarco.

As an out-of-town homeowner, Tom DiMarco said he appreciates the concierge service that is included with ownership. Pardee provides initial country club memberships to home buyers at Tremezzo and Bella Fiore, also at Lake Las Vegas. Offered through The Club at Lake Las Vegas, Silver memberships include access to swimming pools, tennis courts, fitness centers, concierge service and limited golf at The Falls or Reflection Bay, as well as the new Rainbow Canyon course, which is set to open later this year.

The guard-gated neighborhood of Tremezzo offers homes ranging from 3,168 to 4,320 square feet. With Tuscan, Andalusian and Italian Hilltop designs, one- and two-story Tremezzo homes include features such as interior courtyards and a second-story club room on the Plan Two X.

Four floor plans include three to five bedrooms, 21/2 to five baths and up to three-car garages, with prices starting in the high $800,000s.

Tremezzo is Pardee's second neighborhood at Lake Las Vegas. The Bella Fiore gated neighborhood is located alongside The Falls Golf Club near the resort's main entrance. Prices start in the high $600,000s.

Lake Las Vegas is a 3,592-acre master-planned residential and resort destination situated on a privately owned 320-acre lake located 17 miles from the Las Vegas Strip.

To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, east to the freeway's end at Lake Mead Parkway. Continue east on Lake Mead Parkway to Lake Las Vegas Parkway, turn left and follow the signs.
