D.R. Horton showcases single-story residences
March 26, 2011 - 1:01 am
According to industry experts, D.R. Horton Homes, a Texas-based national homebuilder, is bucking a recent trend in Las Vegas. Rather than building smaller homes on small lots, D.R. Horton is offering single-story homes on sites as large as just under one acre.
The builder offers executive floor plans in a variety of locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
D.R. Horton officials said they believe the next generation of Las Vegas natives is an upwardly mobile demographic who are keeping with the tradition of outdoor lifestyles and like lots of toys.
With that in mind, Horton has purchased several cul-de-sac communities that offer clients the chance to buy a completed home or have one built on a lot of their choice. These floor plans range from 3,350 to 5,100 square feet.
Information about the northwestern Las Vegas Valley can be found at D.R. Horton's 8-in-1 Home Finding Center, located at 7452 Darling Road, near the intersection of Buffalo Road and Deer Springs Way.
At the 8-in-1 home center, home shoppers are treated to three appointed models and several inventory homes to view.
The builder has several neighborhoods near the slopes of Lee Canyon near Mount Charleston.
This week's featured 8-in-1 neighborhood is Autumn Estates, located at La Madre Way and Janelle Drive. It offers four- and five-bedroom homes that measure as much as 3,800 square feet.
Visit 8-in-1homeshop.com for information on all of the builder's northwest neighborhoods.
For families that enjoy the open waves of the Lake Mead National Recreation Center, Lake Mead Estates will be a place to visit. The nearly 1-acre homesites are located at Lake Mead Drive and Athens Road. This location will provide room for an RV, boat or any other recreational vehicle.
In Henderson is the new Riviera Ridge neighborhood, which is located at Arroyo Grande Boulevard and Stephanie Street. A presales information list has formed.
D.R. Horton will offer three new floor plans in this gated neighborhood, which is located near the Las Vegas Beltway.
Riviera Ridge features the builder's FROG -- flex room over garage design -- that allows for extra space in a floor plan that "feels" like a single-story home. This flexible space offers room for additional master retreats, office space and family rooms.
In southwest Las Vegas is Cimarron Highlands, which is located near Windmill Road and Durango Drive. These homes measure 3,800 square feet.
The company has a World of Wonder (WOW) design center where homeowners can work with design professionals who will help them appoint their homes.
