Dad calls 911 from train after leaving baby in car

A man called 911 for help from a train after he realized he left his 1-year-old baby in his SUV at a Massachusetts station.

“I left my 1-year-old baby in my SUV by accident this morning,” he told a 911 dispatcher. “I am on my way back to the station now.”

The unidentified man made the call about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday while on a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) train. ABC News reported police and EMTs arrived at the scene and found the infant safe in the SUV. She was reportedly in the car for about 35 minutes.

It is not known if the father will be charged, but he told ABC News he was happy responders were able to care for the child while he made his way back.
