Hank’s Philly Steaks
467 E. Silverado Ranch Blvd. at South Bermuda Road; 702-778-8353
Hank knows Philly steaks. He managed two Philly steak shops in Philadelphia and was recognized for his work, which is no mean feat when you consider the competition. “Don’t be fooled,” he said. “Just writing Philly before the word steak doesn’t make it a true Philly.” Hank serves whole slices of grilled steer rib-eye steak (never chopped) on rolls shipped directly from Philadelphia. There is the plain Philly steak or Philly chicken (no cheese), the cheese steak with Cheez Whiz or melted American or Provolone, the pizza steak with mozzarella and sauce, Herman’s Special (Provolone, grilled onions, mayo), Philly Joe with both Cheez Whiz and melted American, and turkey Philly with turkey breast, roasted red bell peppers, grilled onions and Provolone. Several subs are Italian with capicola, mortadella, salami and seasoning, uncured gourmet ham with cheese, and Hebrew National hot dog on a Philly roll. The newest addition is Tarantini Panzarotti, dough filled with cheese and sauce and deep-fried, which was featured on the Food Network. Sides include fries (cheese, sweet potato, pizza), and macaroni and cheese bites. Later, relax with CJ’s Italian Ice, with flavors such as cherry, lemon, chocolate and watermelon. Philly steaks begin at $6.50. Hank’s Philly Steaks is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
