K-Bop Korean Tapas and Bar

The word “K-bop” has two origins: the first is Korean pop culture, and the second is the word for “rice” in Korean. The spirit of this restaurant is to mix popular Korean culture with traditional Korean foods. That means soups such as fish cake, Poor Man’s Stew (Korean noodles, ham, vegetables) and gamjatang, a Korean-style pork neck bone soup. Popular salads are soft tofu, Chukka (seaweed with sliced cucumber) and mixed with grilled salmon, tofu, chicken or beef. Featured tapas are tofu steak, salmon spring roll, Hangover noodles, spicy or mild Korean ramen, Bibimbop (mixed vegetables on rice), squid noodle, Korean sausage with rice cake and rice noodles, Loco Moco (Hawaiian-style pork with eggs over rice), stir-fried udon, garlic squid, kimchi fried rice, chicken or pork cutlet, yakisoba, Korean-style chicken wings, takoyaki (Japanese steak with octopus) and tobiko rice, where flying fish roe and vegetables are served on rice. Several desserts are fried Oreo, fried banana and tempura ice cream. Happy hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tapas begin at $3.95. K-Bop is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
