Verdi Restaurant and Pizzeria

7240 W. Azure Drive at North Tenaya Way; 702-750-1999

Verdi has a combination of Mediterranean dishes focusing on Italian and Greek cuisine. It’s comfortable to dine in and just as comfortable to pick up items from its tasty menu to take home. Pizzas, ranging from 10 inches to 18 inches, can be made to order, along with specials such as spinach with romano, mozzarella and ricotta cheese; Spicy Buffalo; Vegetarian Supreme; Hawaiian; Greek with feta; and Verdi’s Special with mushrooms, pepperoni, onions, sausage, peppers, tomatoes and extra cheese. Popular entrees are New Zealand lamb chops, rotisserie half chicken, shrimp and scallop scampi, and Alaskan salmon sauteed with tomatoes, basil, garlic, olives, capers and lemon juice. Build your own pasta bowl by selecting bowtie, ziti or angel hair, meat, cheese, vegetables and a sauce (marinara, Alfredo, pesto). There are salads (Greek, Caesar with shrimp), soups, charbroiled hamburgers, calzones and sandwiches such as chicken Parmesan, Italian and the famous Garden featuring baby spinach, sliced mushrooms, red onions, bell peppers, Kalamata olives and diced red tomatoes sauteed in extra-virgin olive oil and topped with feta cheese. Pizzas start at $5.99. Verdi is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
