Dining Pick of the Week: Well Being in the Box
PICK OF THE WEEK:
WELL BEING IN THE BOX
2555 S. Jones Blvd. at West Sahara Avenue, 253-5222
Asian food is generally healthy. That's the consensus, and most of us go along with it, whether the food comes to us on a plate or in a box. Among the Well Being entrees are barbecue chicken box, chicken curry, combo box, spicy shrimp, pork kimchi plate, salmon steak, fish eggs with rice and spicy sashimi. Several salads are seaweed, cucumber, salmon skin, salmon asparagus, kalbi and tuna. There are regular rolls (California, vegetable, spicy tuna) and special rolls such as Kamikaze, Volcano, Pink, Four Seasons, Dragon, James Bond, Sahara, lobster and Hawaiian. Other featured dishes are tempura (vegetable, shrimp, squid, cheese), bowls (barbecue chicken, spicy squid, mushroom, eel, chicken katsu) and soups, including miso, rice cake, spicy seafood with rice and spicy beef. Lunch specials are served with miso soup and include shrimp or chicken fried rice, barbecue combo box, Well Being udon noodles with vegetables or shrimp tempura, spicy tuna poki and I Love Mom's Dosirak, a combination of chicken katsu, bulgogi, macaroni and rice. Ask about party platters that can serve up to six. Entrees begin at $7.95 and regular rolls at $3.95. Well Being in the Box is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
