Discovery Homes to hold grand opening event today, Sunday

Discovery Homes will hold its grand opening of its Cascade and Breckenridge collections in Mountain's Edge today and Sunday. Homes prices begin at $74 per square foot on its six floor plans. The plans range from 2,227 to 4,147 square feet. The collections are located within the master plan's only 24-hour guard-gated entrance.

"These are beautiful, spacious homes on sites that are generally large enough for a pool," said Gail vanDeursen, sales agent.

According to vanDeursen, the first phase of Discovery's Cascade collection at Mountain's Edge was nearly sold out before this weekend's grand opening.

"We offered previews before this weekend's opening and some smart home shoppers were able to save thousands with early pricing," vanDeursen said. "We expect prices to increase with the new phases, so I encourage you to come out today and find out if Discovery Homes is right for you."

Six designs in the Cascade and Breckenridge collections allow homebuyers to choose large master bedrooms, covered porches, private courtyards and three- or four-car garages.

"Our homes are built on oversized lots that range between 5,000 and 7,200 square feet, depending on the size of the home," vanDeursen said. "Most are large enough for a pool and they are all perfect for outdoor entertaining."

Every home features granite countertops, energy efficient construction and designer selected beech cabinetry.

The builder is offering up to 3 percent in nonrecurring closing costs to homebuyers using its preferred lender.

Mountain's Edge has devoted more than 500 of its 3,500 acres to community parks and recreation. It is surrounded by mountains and less than a 15-minute drive from Red Rock Canyon, Spring Mountain Ranch and Bonnie Springs.
