DragonRidge to host wedding services event

More than 100 brides will be expected to converge on DragonRidge Country Club Feb. 28 for their wedding and reception needs to create their special day, according to the events department.

Between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. vendors will display table settings, florals, chocolate fountains, wedding photography and video.

Also, there will be personalized wedding consultations, makeup artists, clergy, DJs, GODIVA Chocolatier, Treasure Map It, Lasting Keepsakes and A Destination Travel.

Held in the Grand Highlands Ballroom, brides will taste samplings of award-winning cuisine by DragonRidge Country Club's Chef Pete Ghione and enjoy glasses of mimosas and champagne.

Each bride will be registered to win prizes, including a special gift from Tiffany & Co.

DragonRidge Country Club was awarded the Best Wedding Venue in 2008 Las Vegas Bride Magazine.

Carrie Key, wedding and events director for DragonRidge, received the Wedding Professional of the Year at the 2009 Las Vegas Bride Magazine Awards Ceremony.

DragonRidge Country Club is located in the heart of the luxury community MacDonald Highlands.

Famed designers Jay Moorish and David Druzisky placed the private 18-hole golf course back into the canyons, utilizing elevation changes.

The clubhouse, built of stone and glass, features a gourmet steak house with views of the Las Vegas Strip. The club also houses mixed grills and lounges, The Grand Highlands Ballroom, a new 14,000-square-foot fitness center, swimming pool, children's pool and an extensive golf pro shop.

Soon to be home at DragonRidge is Nevada's only Jack Nicklaus Academy of Golf. The academy is expected to open this spring.

Private golf membership to DragonRidge Country Club is limited, giving members and their guests a choice of tee times for frequent and leisurely play.
