Ensign displeased with passage of major health reform legislation

Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., had this to say after the House of Representatives approved major health reform legislation:

"Tonight, the House of Representatives  chose to ignore the will of the American people and instead pass a highly partisan bill that compromises quality care and choice, raises premiums and costs, slashes Medicare for seniors, and takes our nation's deficit to unseen levels.  I look forward to the Senate fully debating this critical issue soon where I will continue to work toward a reform plan that is cost-effective and patient-centered, not bureaucrat-centered.  Nevadans and all Americans deserve nothing less."
