ENTERTAINMENT: Skate over to “ICE” for dollar tickets

Locals always are looking for show deals. This one’s hard to beat if you’re not busy Wednesday night.
“ICE: The Show from Russia” (which was, until recently, subtitled “Direct from Russia”) sells all tickets for a buck to Nevada residents at Wednesday’s show.
You can only get the dollar tickets by showing up in person at the Riviera box office, but you can start buying them now; the box office is open until 11 p.m. today and reopens at 10 a.m. Tuesday. You can only buy one ticket per Nevada driver’s license, and the seats are general admission for the 8 p.m. show. And, of course, the $1 does not include tax or handling fees, which will push you closer to six bucks per ticket.
But hey, it's still a deal.
The promotion celebrates one year at the Riviera, which is no small feat these days. The promotion comes about three weeks after the ice revue’s real anniversary, giving it even more longevity.
