ENTERTAINMENT: Walk, don’t dance, with Donny on Saturday

  Donny Osmond takes a break from “Dancing With the Stars” to do a mile as the host of the Danny Gans Memorial Champions Run for Life on Saturday at The District at Green Valley Ranch.
  You have to get up early to go with him in the one-mile fun run/walk at 7:30 a.m.
  Osmond was the only entertainer to speak at the memorial service for late impressionist Danny Gans in May. Gans and his manager, Chip Lightman, produced the Donny and Marie show at the Flamingo.
  Gans used to host the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation’s Champions Run for Life, so the 5K run has been renamed in his honor. The 8 a.m. 5K is followed by a minirun for children with critical illnesses.
