Family chooses Lennar split-level floor plan
The Doto family -- Joe and Pam, with daughters Abby, 11, and Andrea, 9 -- said they were impressed by the features at Lennar's The Willows planned community. They included the gated entry, community park with walkways and picnic areas. Home prices start in the mid-$300,000s.
The family bought the split-level Swallow floor plan at the Nightingale neighborhood.
Pam Doto's father was a custom-home builder in the Midwest.
"Dad still lives in the split-level home he built, and where I grew up," she said. "The minute we all walked into the Swallow model home it reminded us of Dad's home and all the wonderful memories."
Joe Doto's three brothers moved to Las Vegas in 1980, and his parents joined them when they retired.
"We were already familiar with Lennar," Joe Doto said. "One of my brothers had recently purchased a home in Stoneridge, a Lennar community in the northwest valley."
Lennar presents three neighborhoods at The Willows.
Nightingale features three two-story home designs from 2,047 to 2,525 square feet with four to five bedrooms, 2 1/2 to four baths, and two-car garages.
Meadowlark offers three two-story floor plans from 1,660 to 2,194 square feet, featuring homes with three to four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages.
Mockingbird offers two-story designs that range from 1,487 to 1,909 square feet with three to four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages.
The Swallow home design at Nightingale is a 2,355-square-foot split-level floor plan. The raised and covered side entry porch opens to a formal foyer.
From the foyer a short staircase leads up to the great room. An L-shaped kitchen is highlighted by an island and pantry.
The master suite with two walk-in closets and an additional bedroom and full bath are also on this level.
The home's lower floor features a tech center, two bedrooms, full bath, laundry room and a door leading to the two-car garage.
Nightingale, Meadowlark and Mockingbird homes at The Willows are part of Lennar's Everything You Want; Everything You Need Program. Standard amenities include appliances with an upgraded refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, washer and gas dryer, full window coverings, comprehensive prewiring for telephone, cable and ceiling fans.
The package also includes ceramic-tile entries, raised-panel cabinetry and cultured marble vanity tops in the baths. The upgrades are included in the price of the home.
