Findlay Volkswagen in the Valley Automall knows that consistency is the key to success in the car business. The dealership’s staff illustrated its strength by capturing the Wolfsburg Crest Club award for the seventh time.
The award, presented by Volkswagen, is presented to the top 50 dealerships nationwide.
Presented Oct. 5 at the dealership by Volkswagen of America Sales Operations Manager Manny Jesus, executives with Findlay Automotive Group celebrated the honor with a catered lunch.
Jesus said that dealers are measured on the criteria of sales volume and customer satisfaction.
“Only the top 50 dealerships are awarded the prestigious Wolfsburg Crest Club honor,” he said. “This is a very big deal, especially when you consider that we have more than 600 Volkswagen dealerships in the United States.”
A recent transplant from Southern California who now covers Arizona and Las Vegas dealerships, Jesus said many hours go into creating and presenting the award.
“This is an award recognized by the parent company in Germany and facilitated by Volkswagen of America,” he said. “It’s based on the year of 2012 and it really takes a long time to put together and it’s also something that is taken very seriously by all Volkswagen dealerships.
“Cliff Findlay is a man known for his integrity and philanthropy and he is very well-respected in the auto industry.”
Findlay Volkswagen General Manager James Krumme praised his staff for the award.
“The car business is very complex,” said Krumme, who has been with Findlay Automotive Group for 33 years. “To achieve this award, everyone must do their part as it relates to customer satisfaction. That includes all components of sales and service. This is truly a team effort.”
Krumme said it has been the top-selling VW dealership in Las Vegas since it opened. It recorded 1,316 new vehicle sales in 2012.
“The sales number in 2012 represented a huge increase of 30 percent over 2011,” he said. “That speaks well of our success.”
Situated at 983 Auto Show Drive, Findlay Volkswagen opened in January 2002. For information, call 702-558-6600 or visit www.findlayvw.com.
