FORMER RIO HEADLINER HOSPITALIZED IN MIAMI

Former Las Vegas headliner Earl Turner underwent a cardiac procedure Friday in Miami after blood clots formed in his lungs.

He has been hospitalized since Monday when the condition was discovered. He was on his way to a cruise ship that was bound for Montego Bay when he had trouble breathing and lost his energy.

A cardiac catheter was installed today and the blood clots are being dissolved, according to Kitti Heaton, his executive assistant. He is in good spirits, she said, and hopes to return to Las Vegas on Monday.
