Harmony Homes’ Geoff Gorman was recognized last week as the Best Director of Sales in the local homebuilding industry at the Silver Nugget Awards.
“This is truly an honor,” Gorman said. “I would especially like to thank our sales team and all the sales teams here today. We’ve been through so much, such tough times. Without their hard work, we wouldn’t be here today.”
Gorman also credited Harmony Homes’ “buyer-inspired” design for the recent success in sales.
“The homes, with their spacious and open floor plans, make selling the easy part,” he said. “Harmony Homes also takes great pride in building welcoming neighborhoods near some of the best amenities in Southern Nevada.”
The inaugural Silver Nugget Awards recognize the homebuilding industry’s accomplishments throughout 2013. The Southern Nevada Home Builders Association presented the awards in partnership with the Las Vegas Review-Journal at a March 29th gala at the Renaissance Hotel.
Las Vegas-based Harmony Homes also was nominated for the Best Single-Family Homes in two categories.
Winners were chosen from 43 categories covering architecture, interior design, floor plans and sales and marketing.
The judges — experts in multiple fields of the homebuilding industry — were David Baird, director of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Architecture; Samra Leedy-Keller, of Chicago Title in Irvine, Calif.; and Tom Weston, co-founder and CEO of Weston-Mason &Associates, an independent Los Angeles-based advertising and marketing firm.
Harmony Homes’ Daybreak neighborhood was nominated for its 1,836-square-foot model in the category for homes between 1,801 and 2,200 square feet. Nestled at the base of Sunrise Mountain, Gorman said Daybreak has become one of Harmony Homes’ most popular neighborhoods, thanks to its great value and lovely hillside setting. The Daybreak neighborhood features two models and three floor plans ranging from 1,739 to 2,275 square feet. All three floor plans are a two-story design.
The nominated floor plan measuring 1,836 square feet was designed with a courtyard at the front of the home, a popular indoor-outdoor design element.
Harmony Homes’ Silhouette neighborhood was nominated for its 2,436-square-foot model in the category for homes ranging from 2,201 to 2,500 square feet. Silhouette, in the southwestern portion of the Las Vegas Valley, offers a range of options for buyers.
Homes at Silhouette include standard features such as gourmet kitchens with granite countertops and cabinet and drawer space, paver driveways and open floor plans. All of the floor plans include second-floor lofts, and many feature upstairs laundry rooms.
Harmony Homes, which was included in the 2012 Builder 100, recognizing the nation’s best-selling homebuilders, has sold more than 1,600 homes since it was formed in Southern Nevada in late 2008.
It offers 10 neighborhoods throughout Southern Nevada, with one- and two-story homes priced from the $160,000s and ranging from 1,479 to 3,758 square feet.
It is also offering two new communities in Southern California.
