Heller on August jobless: ‘Nevada desperate for real results’
Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., responding to news that unemployment in Nevada continued to climb to 13.4 percent in August, said this in a statement.
“The rising unemployment numbers represent real people in Nevada who will be spending yet another month dipping into savings and stretching their dollars to cover basic living expenses. Businesses and households across Nevada are desperate for a jobs plan that produces real results. Democrats and Republicans, the President and Congress, need to come together to develop meaningful solutions that will spur economic growth and create job opportunities for people eager to get back to work.”
