Honda West offers free oil change for toy donations

For the fourth year, Honda West is offering free oil changes and car washes in exchange for unwrapped gifts to be donated to Toys for Tots.

Toys must be unwrapped and have a value of at least $10 to qualify for an oil change and car wash. Owners of makes other than Honda must bring in an oil filter appropriate to their car's make and model to receive an oil change.

Last year, the dealership collected about 1,000 toys and this year it hopes to top 2,000.

The dealership has also lowered its price for regular-priced oil changes.

"It's just to help out the community so everyone can get a cheaper deal," said service manager Shawn Cherry.

The offer lasts through Dec. 17, when the toys will be collected.
