It’s now between Lowden and Angle
I pass along this press release from the Sue Lowden camp jabbing Sharron Angle not for the merits of the allegation but as another indication that the GOP race for the U.S. Senate has rapidly become a two-person race.
The latest Review-Journal poll taken after all three candidates began full-scale advertising, and Angle had received the coveted Tea Party Express endorsement, showed Danny Tarkanian fading and Angle surging.
By guess is that the Lowden camp now has some internal polling that shows Angle continuing to surge. Hence the hard pivot away from Tarkanian and toward Angle.
Of course, at this point all I can do is make an educated guess. The next Review-Journal poll, however, will give us all a much better fix on this volatile and most interesting race.

Sharron Angle, the Convenient Conservative
Sharron Angle Voted for Taxpayer Funded Pay Raise Because ‘It Would Not Affect Her.’
Sue Lowden for U.S. Senate Campaign Manager: Sharron touts herself as a true conservative, but her record tells a different story.
(Las Vegas, NV) — Today, the campaign of Nevada businesswoman and U.S. Senate candidate Sue Lowden responded to statements issued by Sharron Angle’s spokesman regarding Sharron’s multiple votes as an Assemblywoman to increase her own salary. When speaking to the Nevada News Bureau, Sharron Angle spokesman Jerry Stacy said Sharron voted for a pay increase in 2005 because she was already planning to run for Congress, therefore “it would not affect her.” In reference to legislation Sharron Angle voted for in 2001, he explained that the provision for a pay increase “just got by her,” apparently buried within the 12 page bill.
“Sharron Angle voted for taxpayer funded salary increases three times as a Nevada State Assemblywoman,” stated Robert Uithoven. “She has rattled off excuses for each one, saying legislation ‘just got by her,’ the bill was ‘convoluted,’ and in the most telling statement, ‘it wouldn’t affect her.’ Well, it would affect the rest of the taxpayers in Nevada, wouldn't it? Further, if Sharron Angle is overwhelmed by a 12 page bill, I'd hate to see what will ‘just get by her’ in standard federal legislation. Sharron touts herself as a true conservative, but her record clearly tells a different story.”
