Ivey eliminated, lands in seventh place
Phil Ivey was eliminated in seventh place in the World Series of Poker’s Main Event, winning $1.4 million.
Ivey, a seven-time World Series of Poker individual event bracelet winner, was knocked out by Darvin Moon, who won with a pair of queens.
Ivey came into the final table short stacked and built up his chips to almost 15 million before the dinner break. But he lost a pot to Joe Cada early in the evening and never seemed to recover.
The knock-out took place just after midnight. He refused to talk with the media after the elimination.
